Denpasar is a booming market for drugs dealers as the Bali provincial capital has a high number of drugs users, a local police chief said Wednesday.
The Denpasar City Police recorded 183 drug cases in 2013 and there were 14 cases in the first two months of 2014.
“The number of users is usually high on Saturday nights,” Denpasar City Police chief Sr. Comr. Djoko Hari Utomo said in a meeting with journalists at the Denpasar City Police headquarters, as reported by tribunnews.com.
“The situation here is very similar with Surabaya but quite different from Jakarta,” he said.
Bali is located in a strategic place for drug dealers as it is situated between East Java and West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
